Silk Road to screen Iran ‘The Wasteland’

Iranian feature ‘The Wasteland’ has made its way to the Silk Road International Film Festival (SRIFF) in China.

Media reports said ‘The Wasteland’ will be screened at the 8th edition of SRIFF.

Directed by Ahmad Bahrami, ‘The Wasteland’ is about hard working conditions and complex human relationships among several families living in a working environment.

‘The Wasteland’ has won several awards, including the Best Film in the Horizons section of Venice Film Festival in Italy.

Last month, ‘The Wasteland’ won the Best Film, and the Educational and Cultural prize for the best film from the point of view of the jury and professors of cinema at the Nouvelles Images Persanes Festival in Vitré, France.

The 8th Silk Road International Film Festival will take place on December 8-12.
